“We can be sure that the greatest hope for maintaining equilibrium in the face of any situation rests within ourselves.”

– Francis J. Braceland

I believe all of us are on an eternal quest to find our empowering balance.

But for most of us, unearthing that exquisite balance that keeps us calm and simultaneously inspired can seem like we’re a dog chasing its tail ????

Over my many years of energetic healing with my clients, I consistently have noticed a common imbalance inside of their epigenetic code.

And it is this imbalance that can prevent you from truly embracing the wonder that is your harmonious life.

So how is it that you can find that balance within yourself?

Keep reading and let me guide you to the power of your own yin and yang within your beliefs.

What is Yin & Yang?

Now before we dive into how Yin & Yang can be leveraged to gain balance inside of your energetic blueprints, I wanted to quickly define this ancient Chinese concept.

From an article by Jun Shan…

Yin and yang (or yin-yang) is a complex relational concept in Chinese culture that has developed over thousands of years. Briefly put, the meaning of yin and yang is that the universe is governed by a cosmic duality, sets of two opposing and complementing principles or cosmic energies that can be observed in nature.”

Simply said…Yin is the dark half which represents the Shadow side.  While Yang is the bright side that reveals the Light side of life.

For harmony to occur, there must be the existence of both at the same time…There is no other way to achieve perfect balance in the universe.

Now that you have an understanding of the core fundamentals of Yin & Yang, let’s dive into how each side impacts your epigenetic code.

Yin and Your Shadow Beliefs

As you have heard me speak about many times, you have inherited beliefs that have been passed down through your lineage.

You didn’t ask for these to be in your life, but they are a part of you.

And the #1 reason most of my clients seek my assistance is to release the energy blocks of limiting beliefs.  You could say these particular energies and inherited patterns are the Yin… The Shadows.

Because what do we normally think of when we imagine shadows?

Our mind goes to things that haunt us, that we fear and that we seek to escape from daily.

For example… You could have an inherited trait from your grandmother that reveals itself in you being quite stubborn.  To the point that if you feel strongly about anything, you will not budge from your spot or opinion.

Many people in this situation will only focus on the negative aspects of this inherited trait.  How it leads to them losing friendships or damaging their relationships at work.

So all they wish to do is release and remove this supposed shadow energy because they believe it is blocking their expansion in life.

And while this can most certainly be true, these same people many times are blind to the light side right next to this shadow.

They ignore the blessing of the Yang.

Yang and Your Inspired Light

Now you might be wondering… How can there be a blessing right next to a shadow energy that seems to block your progress?

It’s simply a matter of perspective.  And once you understand how to open your eyes clearly, you’ll always be able to find your balance.

Let’s return to the inherited trait of being stubborn from your grandmother.

While you might find it relatively easy to focus all your attention on the negative and limiting aspects of this quality…

There is a bright light of abundance too.

Because that quality of being stubborn can also serve your highest good.

Maybe it’s your stubbornness that keeps you pushing hard in your fitness to complete your first marathon.

Or did your inherited “stubborn superpower” allow you to stand tall in a situation at work that ended up getting you the raise you long deserved?

Being stubborn could be the necessary quality that gave you the courage to not give up on your marriage… Which allowed your relationship to thrive like never before.

Do you see it now?

The so-called shadow of Yin is balanced by the light within the Yang.

For if you can learn how to release the shadow while celebrating the light of your inherited beliefs or traits…

You are free to embrace the bliss of harmony.

“No person, no place, and nothing has any power over us, for ‘we’ are the only thinkers in our mind. When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.”  -Louise L. Hay

Your balance is beautiful,
