Sculpt Your Days And Mold Your Mind

“Every day you have to abandon your past or accept it, and then, if you cannot accept it, you become a sculptor.”

Louise Bourgeois

With this one short quote, I feel these words provide such a wonderfully balanced approach to how we all can work through inherited limiting beliefs.

Because with each piece of this quote…

It provides you the power to choose.

And that is something that can be quite easy to forget.

Especially when you find yourself afflicted with the challenges of inherited fears, doubts and victimizing perspectives.

Let’s start with the first part of the quote about abandoning or accepting the past because it’s one of the ways you can sculpt your mind, heart and spirit.

And in this case, the sculpting is having the courage to release.

For with a release, you let go of the chains that bind you subconsciously.

You’re able to come to terms with an inherited false belief and simply let it float away on a river of grace and healing.

Let’s say you had a false belief from childhood around speaking your mind with confidence to ask for what you really wanted in life.

Maybe your parents were always shouting down your eager requests for that new bike or wanting to go devour a banana split at Dairy Queen.

And now as an adult, you find yourself staying silent.

Not daring to even speak up for what you want because that false belief has you expecting only one answer…No.

But if you look at your past and allow yourself to accept it as something that once was and no longer is right now…

You can find a peaceful release that opens doorways to unleashing your confident and inspired soul in the present and for years to come.

And with this release, it’s like you’ve been given a fresh batch of clay to sculpt how you choose to create your life moving forward.

Speaking of the power of sculpting your future, what if you could do the same with the limits of your past?

This is where the second part of the previous quote comes into play.

Because many times, the inherited patterns, beliefs and fears from our past can seem unshakeable.  And this can lead us to feeling as if we’re in a constant battle with those so-called facts of the past.

But what if you could take those same old facts and transform them into something different?

What if you could sculpt those old limiting beliefs, perspectives and fears and mold them into gifts?

Imagine taking those memories from our previous example of never having your voice heard and requests honored…

And sculpting them into the fuel and certainty that built over years to allow you to unleash your voice.

A voice that allows you to speak with such power now that it reshapes your entire destiny and ability to receive all you’ve wanted?

This is the divine power of treating yourself as a sculptor of your life!

It’s all about how you use what’s given to you and how you choose to create.

Everything you’ve experienced is the raw material for your expansion.

“For a sculptor, a painter, a weaver, a potter, the dialogue between one’s materials and what one makes from them is easy to see: discover a new material or a new way to use a familiar one, and new things can be made, sometimes leading to the discovery of more new material, leading to more creation.”Andrea Barrett

Always remember this…

I believe in you!
